Norton Ghost Hangs After 4 %
Hi all
Recently i was trying to reinstall windows xp by using a universal disc image which support many chipsets and other hardware and was created by ghost but that process hangs after 4% at file "$2 Logfile" and then show "error:10008 unexpected end of file" but the same image and disc is working well in VirtualBox so i checked on google and found my suggestions like disableing Floppy drive, Deep format harddisk, replacing data cables and many others but none of them worked so please suggest me how to i overcome this problem

Is this your first time trying this disc Vibhanshu as a reinstallation media? i can tell you from experience that using Nlite and specific drivers for your pc is a pretty good way of reinstalling, for me i can have windows XP Pro load to the desktop in less than 20 min, i had similar problems with Norton Ghost, and when changing to Nlited discs it became a breeze.
Its possible that this is a driver problem.

Hi Kv777 just read your post i will look for a decent post for you and let you know, for me it's like making tea, i have Nlited that many i have lost count, as it was Raid drivers that caused me problems, and i had to find a way to intergrate them without using a floppy disc..
Had a quick look Kv777 and found a decent tutorial, Here if there is anyway i can help you out please let me know, black vipers thread is great for helping you decide what you can remove safely if you want to reduce the size of the install.
